“What we’re doing differently for a commercial project is we’re trying to build something that’s sustainable for the neighborhood, for the city, and for us,” Paglayan said. “We have the coffeehouse, an office for an interior designer, two short-term vacation rentals, and the upstairs is my office and a conference room that the tenants and the some local nonprofits can use.”
Also on the Trailhead Design Source project are Paglayan’s wife, landscape architect Solange Serquis; and architect Tom Easterson-Bond. Paglayan said everything should be ready by late September.
