Interview on All Things Real Estate, KTRC

In conjunction with the 2018 Santa Fe Home Builders Association’s Hacienda – A Parade of Homes we were interviewed on KTRC’s “All Things Real Estate” radio show. We were thrilled to join the whole team that collaborated on this project which won the Grand Hacienda Award, as well as the Best Outdoor Living Space Award.

Here an excerpt from the show’s description:

This weekly radio show features host and Sotheby’s International Realty’s Associate Broker Rey Post (NM REC License #45660) and a variety of special guests offering the best news, information and commentary regarding every aspect of today’s real estate market.

In the first and second hours of the “All Things Real Estate” (ATRE) radio show this Sunday, join Rey Post and his guests for a remote broadcast of the program from 36 Plaza del Centro in the Las Campanas neighborhood of Santa Fe. Open to the public to tour, this is the “Grand Hacienda” winning property of the 26th annual “Haciendas, A Parade of Homes” (Parade) tour, sponsored by theSanta Fe Area Home Builders Association (SFAHBA). This nationally-known event offers tours of 14 of the finest new construction or total remodel properties built by some of Santa Fe’s best home contractors.

36 Plaza del Centro is an ultra-contemporary, open-concept and horseshoe-shaped custom residence, with innumerable custom features—from the doors and horizontal grained Echo Wood veneer cabinets, to multiple water features, extensive metal work, and an indoor/outdoor banco piercing a wall of glass. The natural siting of this home, coupled with 10-foot sliding doors and multiple outdoor living spaces, captures beautiful Sangre de Cristo and Jemez mountain views for miles.

The Parade tour—which started August 10-12 and concludes on August 17-19—gives the public an opportunity to not only see this exquisite property, but also the 13 other entrants in the event. In addition, the Parade provides consumers with the chance to meet face-to-face with home builders, architects, landscape architects, interior designers, and other home construction professionals. Tickets for the entire event are only $15 and can be purchased at the door of any of the Parade homes. Please consult the free Parade magazine for tour details—available in many stores throughout Santa Fe—as well as being on-line at SFAHBA.com.

For the first time in the eight consecutive years that the ATRE radio show has been asked by the SFAHBA to air during both Sundays of the Parade, the program will broadcast from the same property. The design and building team of 36 Plaza del Centro requested that the SFAHBA air the ATRE show from the property on August 12, with this Sunday confirming a return broadcast at the home, given its designation as the Parade’s “Grand Hacienda”-winning property.

Rey is honored to have been asked by the SFAHBA—for the third year in a row—to serve as one of the eight judges of the homes competing in the Parade. Serving in a group with three other judges, Rey and his colleagues toured specific Parade homes on August 7, offering recommendations to the SFAHBA for the various awards that they have given to Parade participants competing in the event. Rey brought his experience as a real estate broker to the judging exercise, while others who served as judges included well-respected home builders, architects, interior designers, and business leaders from the Santa Fe community.

Landscape Architect and Interior Design Commentary: Solange Serquis, Principal at Serquis + Associates; and interior designer Paul Rau, Principal at Paul Rau Interiors, will join Rey in a discussion of how the interior design of the property and the exterior landscape at 36 Plaza del Centro were conceived and implemented in a collaborative fashion to accentuate the home’s natural setting.
